Chinese New Year of the Rabbit

Konichiwa Katie

In Chinese culture, the rabbit can be used to symbolise the moon. Ancient Chinese believed there was a rabbit living on the moon. The Rabbit, otherwise known in Chinese as the jade rabbit or the moon rabbit, is the companion of the Moon Goddess who never grows old. Rabbits, especially those with white hair, are also a symbol of longevity in traditional Chinese culture.
